The Lowdown: What's past is prologue?
Entering today's game, Amherst has won nine straight against Tufts, dating back to the 2004-2005 season when the Jumbos beat the Lord Jeffs 4-3 on a third period goal by Ken Cleary.  Cleary now owns a Closet store in Florida. So now you know that.

Both teams played at Conn. College's Dayton Arena yesterday, with the Lord Jeffs defeating the host Camels 4-2 and Tufts winning their "home" game against Hamilton, 6-4, for only second conference win of the season for the Jumbos. If Tufts want to make the playoffs, they need to try and muster up some points in their return to their real home. A Hamilton loss to Conn. College tonight and a Tufts win would bring the Jumbos into a tie with the Continentals for the final NESCAC playoff spot.

An Amherst win would put them into a three-way cluster bleep with Middlebury and Williams for second place, with Trinity just one point behind but having played one less game. In the tightly contested NESCAC, seeds 2-5 probably won't be decided until the final day of the season.

Key(s) to the game: Execute
With both historical precedent and the recent history of Amherst's 6-2 win over the Jumbos in January, the Lord Jeffs should be able to take this game if they execute their game plan. However, sometimes Amherst can put forth what co-captain Brandon Hew  (D, Sr.) called "lackluster" efforts in the second game of the weekend (today Monday, usually Saturdays). This lack of focus aided in the 3-0 come from behind tie for Colby in the third period against the Lord Jeffs last week. If Amherst doesn't stay on point, they could slip up against a motivated Tufts squad coming off a win that kept their season alive.

Players to watch
Mike Moher (F, Sr.) The Lord Jeffs leader in points in NESCAC games (6-10-16) has seven points (4-3-7) in five career games against the Jumbos.

Andrew White (F, So.) After netting his first career hat trick yesterday, what will White do for an encore? Scored a goal last time out against the Lord Jeffs.

In honor of Tufts returning to their real home we present  Ted Nugent showing you how to play the main theme from his song "Homebound" (can't actually have The Motor City Madman's full song recordings due to EMI restrictions). Also, Ted Nugent will be a guest at tomorrow's  State of the Union thanks to an invite from Texas Representative Steve Stockman. So there's that...
