The Lowdown: What a difference a month makes
Less than a month ago, both of these teams were out of the NESCAC playoff party, with Tufts in ninth with four points and Colby in last with three points; things have been very different in the month of February. The Jumbos have gone (1-4-0) since the turn of the calendar, capped off by a 6-1 loss to Bowdoin last night in which they gave up 60 shots in addition to being eliminated from playoff contention. Valentine's month has been kinder to the surging Mules, who have gone 3-1-1 and moved into a seventh place tie with Hamilton. The Mules are likely to make the playoffs and with a win or tie today and a Hamilton loss to Williams would lock up the seven seed.

When the teams first met in Massachusetts back on December 8th, Colby won 5-2 on the strength of two Cory McGrath (F, Sr.) goals. It was the only multi-goal game in the collegiate career of the senior from Yarmouthport, MA.  Joe Concannon award semi-finalist Dylan Plimmer (F, Sr.) had the only two goals for the Jumbos in that contest.

Key(s) to the game:  De-fense! Clap-Clap De-fense!
Colby won last night, but they needed a herculean effort from goaltender Sam Parker (G, So.) to get it done. The Mules will want to have a defensive effort more like Tuesdays win over Wesleyan when they gave up only 18 shots. In their last game of the season, the Jumbos will want to improve on the 60 shots they gave up to Bowdoin last night.

Players to watch
Dylan Plimmer (F, Sr.) Plimmer was selected as a Concannon semifinalist this week and leads the team in points (8-13-21), but he hasn't scored since the end of January and only has one point in his last four games. How will the Arizona native play in his final game as a collegian, against a Colby team that he scored two goals against back in December?

Cory Mcgrath (F, Sr.) The senior mule scored two goals last time out against the Jumbos for his only multi-goal game of his collegiate career. How will Mcgrath play in his final game on Alfond Rink ice?

Since it is senior day for the Mules, and because who doesn't love a good hipster British band with a violinist?, we present a reprise of The Mules "This is your Life."
