The Lowdown: Home and home
This is the second game in a home and home weekend between these interstate travel partners. Conn. College came out on top 5-2 last night to move Tufts into last place. Tufts needs to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive, and Conn. College needs the game to move past Hamilton into seventh.
The game is also a fundraising event for Jane Doe Inc. , The Massacuhestts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domesitc Violence. There will be a 50/50 raffle to raise money for the charity and fans are asked to wear white in support of the White Ribbon Campaign. To donate money or find out information about domestic violence resources, visit Jane Doe Inc's website here.
Key(s) to the game: <60th
As in, both of these teams are less than 60th in the nation (below 60 USCHO does not track the rankings of each team) in penalty killing. Conn. College won the power play battle last night, going 2/5 to Tufts 1/5. Take advantage of your opponents deficiency on the penalty kill, potentially get one step closer to the playoffs.
Players to watch
Dawson Luke (D, Sr.) The Camels lone senior scoring threat put one in the net in last night's game against the Jumbos.
Kyle Gallegos (F, Jr.) After missing last week's games, Gallegos returned last night to score and tie for the team lead in goals (9-7-16).
As with the Middlebury game, no trivializing the Tufts fundraiser with silly comments or music videos. Below find a video from Jane Doe Inc. for the white ribbon campaign at the Beanpot.
