For the second week in a row, a NESCAC score appeared in the college hockey scores of the "SportsSunday" section of the New York Times. Also for the second week in a row it was a Hamilton score. Unlike last time, however, it was a Continental win, 3-1 over Tufts.
The only other D-III scores are St.Anselm/Southern Maine and St.Scholastica/Wis.-Stevens Point. There is an obvious ivy league bump, as all five members of the ancient eight that were in action Saturday have their scores appear.
Not sure if there is a NESCAC connection (and specifically Hamilton) in the New York Times sports editorial staff, but if you know of one, please share in the comments section or email us at hockeynescac@gmail.com
Check back for recaps of each team's week, including player of the week for each school and a player of the week for the league.
