The Lowdown
After splitting a home and home last weekend, these two face-off for the third time in nine days. Here's what
The NESCAC Official site has to say about the match-up:

"Trinity (14-6-3, 11-4-3 NESCAC) locked up the third seed with a wild 10-5 victory over Bowdoin tonight. Arguably the hottest team in the conference, the Bantams will head into the championship as winners of eight of their last ten games. Their stellar season has included at least one win over each NESCAC team. Trinity has reached the finals four times, earning league titles in 2002 and 2004. Sixth seeded Wesleyan (10-10-4, 6-8-4 NESCAC) will look to cool off the Bantams in the quarterfinal round on Saturday. Though their campuses are separated by less than 20 miles, the in-state rivals have never met in the conference playoffs. After falling 3-2 in overtime to the Bantams on Friday, Wesleyan bounced back with a 2-1 triumph on Saturday. The Cardinals will be looking to advance past the first round for the second time in school history. Their most notable performance of the year was a 6-5 overtime win at Bowdoin on January 11."

Here's what Tim Costello (along with Conn College Coach Jim Ward) of USCHO has to say

No. 3 Trinity vs. No. 6 Wesleyan
The make-up game win on Monday moved the Bantams into a home-ice slot and guaranteed a third game in a row with their in-state rival and travel partner. On the final weekend of the regular season, the teams split a home-and-home series, with each winning a one-goal decision on home ice. The teams are very closely matched, and the difference may very well come down to goaltending, which would seem to go the Bantams’ way behind Benjamin Coulthard.
Controlling the conference’s leading scorer, Keith Buehler, will be of the utmost importance for Trinity in this match-up of familiar foes. For Wesleyan, keeping it close will be a challenge following the confidence-boosting 10-goal performance the Bantams posted in Monday’s win against top-seeded Bowdoin.
Hey coach, aren’t travel partner games the tough ones to pick?
“They just played last weekend in two very close contests,” noted Ward. “There isn’t a lot of room for errors in this one.  Buehler is probably the best player in the conference, and certainly the best we saw all season along with the kid Mulvey from Norwich. He could be the difference-maker for the visitors, but this one is really close and Coulthard is probably the difference-maker for Trinity.
