The Lowdown: Different Stakes
Sixth place Wesleyan comes into the game having tied first placed Bowdoin last weekend and lost to Colby in a "home" game at Phillips Exeter on Tuesday. Due to nemo, fifth place Trinity only played one game (the Bowdoin game will be played on Monday) last week, taking care of business against Colby at home. This game has major implications for Trinity, as they can finish Monday's makeup with Bowdoin anywhere from first to fifth in the league. Wesleyan has less on the line, as the Cardinals are locked into the six seed by virtue of not being able to catch anyone above them and by holding the tiebreaker over Hamilton, the only team below Wesleyan that could catch them.
Key(s) to the game: Stay focused
The Cardinals can't change their playoff fate, but besides being senior night and the final home game of the year, no one wants to back into the playoffs. For Trinity, they can't take a Wesleyan team with nothing to play for, for granted.
Players to watch
Jackson Brewer (F, So.) What does the sophomore from Newton, MA do for an encore to his hat trick (3-1-4) against Colby?
Nick Craven (F, Sr.) Final home game for the senior from Colorado who has eclipsed the point totals from his first three seasons combined this year (15-17-32).
In honor of there being no rest at this time of year in NESCAC hockey as well as senior day for the Cardinals, we present Alexisonfire's "No Rest" off of their album "Old Crows/Young Cardinals"
