Amherst Lord Jeffs 13-6-1 (11-3-0 NESCAC)           5

It was over when...: Mike Rowbotham  (F, '15)  popped in an empty netter to seal Amherst's season split with the Polar Bears. Bowdoin is tied with arch-nemesis Colby for the pivotal fourth seed, two points ahead of Middlebury, who still has a game against Wesleyan Sunday afternoon.

Player of the game: Andrew Kurlandski (F, '14) A night after his three point night in a rout of Colby, the senior from Missouri put in solid work on the defensive end and netted two points (1-1-2) to end the weekend with the team lead in points (9-6-15).

It was over when...: Concannon semifinalist Ben Chwick (F, '14) put in a pass from Jack Bartlett (F, '14) to give the Mules the victory 1:18 in OT. Both teams have now played six OT games this season; Colby is undefeated at 3-0-3 while Hamilton is 1-2-3.

Wesleyan Cardinals 9-8-2 (4-8-1 NESCAC)           7

It was over when...: Wesleyan scored four first period goals to shock the first place Ephs and Concannon semifinalist Sean Dougherty (G, '15) was pulled from a game for the first time this season. The Ephs had sevne power plays and outshot Wesleyan,39-26, but freshman Dawson Sprigings (G, '14) played well in net for the home Cardinals.  Williams, who entered the game nationally ranked (#7/#8) thanks to a solid defense and goaltending, gave up more than three goals for the first time this season. Wesleyan entered the game in ninth place in the conference standings - on the outside looking in of the playoff picture - but leapfrogged Hamilton for the eighth and final playoff spot for the time being with the victory.

Tufts Jumbos 3-17-0 (1-13-0 NESCAC)                    3
Conn College Camels 7-12-1 (6-8-0 NESCAC)     5

It was over when...: Concannon semifinalist JC Cangelosi socred his second goal of the game to give the Camels a four goal lead in the third period. The Camels are 5-2 in their last seven after starting the season 2-10-1 and are only three points out of a home playoff game heading into the final two weekends. Tufts outshot Conn College,43-25,  but the Jumbos are now all but eliminated from playoff contentions as they would need to win their last four games and Wesleyan would have to lose all five for the Jumbos to even have a chance.

Player of the game: JC Cangelosi  (F, '15) Cangelosi netted three points (2-1-3) to end the weekened with 22 points (12-10-22). The next highest Camel has nine points.

Middlebury Panthers 8-9-2 (6-6-1 NESCAC)          3
Trinity Bantams 15-4-0 (10-3-0 NESCAC)           5

It was over when...: Mike Hawkrigg (F, '16) scored his second goal of the game to make it 5-3 at the 7:27 mark of the third period, just over a minute after Middlebury had cut the score to 4-3. Liam-Moorfield-Yee (G, '16) made 31 saves in the loss as Middlebury coach Bill Beaney still refuses to go with a consistent goaltending rotation.

Middlebury plays Wesleyan Sunday afternoon and a win would create a three-way tie for fourth place with the Maine duo of Colby and Bowdoin. Trinity faces off with Williams in a rematch of Frozen Fenway. An indoor win for either team would thrust them into a tie with Amherst for first place, though Amherst would have the advantage over Trinity since they won both games over the Bantams this season. Williams beat Amherst earlier this year and they will play one another in the season finale in two weeks.

Player of the game: Mike Hawkrigg (F, '16) John Michael Hawkrigg netted three points (2-1-3) for his eleventh multi-point affair of the season. He is already over halfway to the century mark in points (24-30-54) less than two years into his college career.
