Where: Sage Rink Clinton, NY
Hamilton : 2.00 G/GM Scored (10th in NESCAC; < 60th in Nation)
2.82 G/GM Allowed (6th in NESCAC; 30th in Nation)
The Lowdown: Even Stevens
Hamilton and Conn. College enter the game with almost identical records and separated by only one place in the NESCAC standings (6th and 7th, respectively). Both teams are coming off a 1-1 weekend, Hamilton in conferenece play beating Colby and losing to Bowdoin; Conn College in the Northfield Bank Tournament, losing to Norwich (top team in the nation) and beating U-Mass Dartmouth in the consolation game. Winning this game will be important for both teams in separating themselves from the rest of the bottom half of the NESCAC.
Key(s) to the game: I think I need some space...
In the early half of the season Hamilton had a knack for playing gritty, close games. The only problem was that they also had a propensity for losing them, going 1-4 in one goal games. Connecticut College, on the other hand, has only played in two one goal games going 1-1. If Hamilton can get out to an early lead and put some space between them and the Camels, who are 0-6-0 when trailing after one, the Continentals will be well on their way to a winning home record and keeping Conn. College win-less on the road this season.
Players to watch
Connecticut College JC Cangelosi (F, So.) On a team whose points are dispersed throughout the roster, the Florida native leads with 11 points (2-9-11). Coming off a game winning goal against U-Mass Dartmouth.
Hamilton: Dom Jancaterino (F/D, Jr.) The D-1 transfer (Sacred Heart) can play both ways and is finding his role on this team; coming off a weekend which saw his first multi-goal game (2 goals against Colby) as a collegian.
