It was close between Williams and Trinity at the top, with most of the Trinity votes coming before their 0-1-1 Maine weekend, which included a tie with Colby. Bowdoin, as well, received most of their votes before the weekend in which they lost their first game. There is a NEW POLL: Who has the best nickname in the NESCAC? The poll is located on the right sidebar.
USCHO Picks
Over at USCHO, Tim Costello has been solid picking games this year. Over the weekend, he correctly chose the winner in all six NESCAC games he picked, including the exact score of the Hamilton/Tufts game (3-1).
Can't say the same for last night. He incorrectly chose Wentworth to beat Tufts 4-3 (Tufts blanked them 2-0) and Curry to beat Conn. College 4-3(the Camels won 5-1). Costello also incorrectly chose Williams to beat Babson 3-2, just a smidge off from the 3-3 tie. His colleague Tim Sullivan fared even worse, picking Wentworth to destroy Tufts 8-2. Welp. But in all fairness, non-conference games are nearly impossible to pick for a variety of reasons including lack of familiarity, resting goalies, motivation level, etc.
In the USCHO forums, the NESCAC Pick'em Game is now up here for the coming week. If you want to know what the NESCAC Pick'em Game is, click here.
New Enland Hockey Journal Rankings

They also chose Friday's match-up of Bowdoin at Williams as the game of the week. For the full article and rankings, click here .
