To some degree, Bowdoin, while not happy with a loss, might be happy that the talk of an undefeated seasons is over. Now they can focus on hockey; but they don't get an easy follow up to their 6-5 OT Friday night loss, facing a tough Trinity team that is looking to salvage their Maine vacation after a 2-2 tie with bottom dwelling Colby.
Key(s) to the game: Staying out of the sin bin
While Trinity and Bowdoin are strong on the penalty kill, they are 1st and 2nd, respectively, in most penalty minutes. (Trinity 17.7 PIM/G, Bowdoin 16.4 PIM/G). No matter how good you are on the kill that is playing with fire, as Bowdoin found out last night, surrendering four power play goals in seven chances for Wesleyan.Players to watch
Trinity Jordan So (F, Sr.) The senior from Toronto got an assist last night to give him nine points (2-7-9) for the season. He has gotten a point in 3 out of 5 games he has played against Bowdoin in his career. Can he make 4 out of 6?
Bowdoin Max Fenkell (G, So.) Junior goalie Steve Messina (G, Jr.) gave up six goals for the first time since his freshman year last night. Fenkell often plays the second day of back to backs; regardless of who plays, can the Bowdoin goalies get the team back to their defensively stout ways?
