The week ahead: Bowdoin has a tough road schedule against second place Williams (6-1-1; 13 pts.) and fourth place Middlebury (4-2-2; 10 points). If Bowdoin loses to Williams, the Ephs could be in the driver's seat for first place.

They return to conference action over the weekend, hosting the Maine duo of Bowdoin (8-1-1; 17 pts.) and Colby (1-6-1; 3 pts.). 4. Middlebury (5-7-2; 4-2-2)
4th in NESCAC - 10 points
This week's record: 0-2-0

The week that was: Middlebury had a Primelink Tournament re-union and it wasn't a happy one. The Panthers started out their  tough non-conference week, losing 3-1 to mountain state rival and top ranked Norwich on Tuesday.  It was the 145th time the two schools met and the second time this season, having previously faced in the finals of the Primelink in November (Norwich won a goal in the last minute 5-4). Middlebury followed that up with a 7-1 trouncing by Plattsburgh on Friday, a team they had previously beaten 3-2 in the first round of the Primelink.

The week ahead: Middlebury hosts Maine travel partners Colby (1-6-1; 3 pts.) on Friday and Bowdoin (8-1-1; 17 points) on Saturday.  It's important that Middlebury takes care of business on Friday against last place Colby with first place Bowdoin on the docket for Saturday. Further, the team right behind them,Trinity(3-2-3; 9 points), has winnable games against Tufts(1-6-1; 3 pts) and Conn College(1-4-3; 5 pts).

The week ahead: The Cardinals follow up their season salvaging weekend with home games against Tufts (1-6-1; 3 pts) and Conn College(1-4-3; 5 pts). Depending on how the weekend works out, Wesleyan could jump all the way up to fourth in the standings.

Player of the week: Keith Buehler  (F, Jr.) definitely didn't take a day off, having a hand in all six goals (3-3-6) in the huge win over Bowdoin. It is the second straight weekend with a hat trick for Buehler, who scored three goals in a loss to Middlebury on 1/4.
