Salve Regina Seahawks (6-3-0) 2
Wesleyan Cardinals (4-2-1) 6
It was over when...: Pittsburgh native
Sophomore Nolan Daley (G, '16) stopped 34 shots to improve to 3-1-0 on the season. Two Salve Regina goalies faced 46 shots combined from the Cardinals. The ECAC-Northeast leading Seahawks entered the Nutmeg State at 6-1-0 this weekend but head back to Newport, RI with two losses to Trinity and Wesleyan and a -5 goal differential (12-5) for the weekend.
Player of the game: James Kline (F, '17) Kline scored two goals but according to Wesleyan student organization WesPregame he once ate three Chipotle burritos in one sitting, so he is not happy with two goals in one game. Ok then.
Box Score: Salve Regina 2/Wesleyan 6
Suffolk Rams (3-5-1) 3
Colby Mules (3-2-2) 6
It was over when...: Jack Burton (D, '17) scored his first collegiate goal late in the second to make it 4-2. He would score his second goal seven minutes into the third to give Colby even more of a cushion. Senior Ben Chwick (F, '17) also had a two goal game (2-1-3) for the Mules. Colby freshman Ben Csiernik (G, '17) made 25 saves and earned a win in his first career start. Colby had 41 shots on the afternoon and went 2/6 on the power play to Suffolk's 0/4. The Rams leave the Bowdoin/Colby Faceoff Classic with two losses and a goal differential of -8 (11-3).
Player of the game: Jack Burton (D, '17) The Reisterston, MD native scored his first two collegiate goals, including what proved to be the game winner.

Manhattanville Valiants (5-4-0) 3
Tufts Jumbos (1-6-0) 0
It was over when...: Valiants junior Jake Mooney (F, '15) scored the first of his three goals on a power play in the first. The Valiants dominated the championship game of the Rutland Herald Invitational and outshot the Jumbos 38-26. Yesterday, the Plattsburgh Cardinals dropped Middlebury in the championship game of the PrimeLink Great Northern Shootout, the premiere D-III Thanksgiving weekend tournament, and the Cards weren't done screwing with the 'Cac. Before coming to Manhattanville, Mooney spent his first two seasons with Plattsburgh.
Tufts ousted host Casteleton in the first round yesterday to earn their first win of the year and secure a spot in the championship game. Jumbos sophomore Stewart Bell (F, '16) and senior Brendan Fadden (D, '14) were named to the All-Tournament team.
Player of the game: Jake Mooney (F, '15) The former Plattsburgh Cardinal had his first multi-goal game and was the only player to score in the tournament championship game.

Wentworth Leopards (3-6-1) 3
Trinity Bantams (5-1-0) 4
It was over when...: Mike Hawkrigg (F, '16) ripped home a power play slap-shot with 1:39 remaining to put the Bantams up for the first time since the first period. Earlier in the period Joe Horak (F, '16) tied up the game on the power play after the Bantams had fallen behind 3-1 early in the second. Special teams were the difference in this one with Trinity going 4/8 on the man advantage and Wentworth going 1/4.
Sophomore netminder Nathaniel Heilbron (G, '16) made 25 saves for the win in his second straight start. It's not a bad idea to give Ben Coulthard (G, '14) some breathers during non-conference play, especially since Coulthard is a senior and Heilbron might be starting next season.
Player of the game: Mike Hawkrigg (F, '16) Scored the game winning goal and added his team leading 11th assist for good measure (1-1-2).

Babson Beavers (8-1-0) 2
Williams Ephs (4-0-1) 3
It was over when...: Sean Dougherty (G, '15) and the Ephs survived 2:43 of an empty-net extra attacker (bold move, Babson) and 16 third period Babson shots to hang on for a 3-2 victory. Williams opened up a 3-2 lead through the first 36 minutes on goals by freshmen George Hunkele (F, '17) and Frankie Mork (D, '17), as well as as Craig Kitto (F, '15)'s team leading fourth tally. Eight of the Ephs 14 goals on the season have now been scored by freshman.
On twitter, former Amherst forward Mark Colp (F, '12) joked that the Lord Jeffs should get an assist for making Babson play a full 60 minutes on Saturday. The seventh ranked Beavers defeated Amherst, 2-0, at home before they headed to Williamstown. This was the only game of the week for the Ephs.
NSN webcast paired NSN's Middlebury announcer with the Williams student announcer. Good stuff, but the video quality is still dreadful.
Player of the game: Sean Dougherty (G, '15) Made 29 saves, including 16 in the third when the Ephs were outshot by 12, to end the day with a .948 Save % (6th in nation) and a 1.57 Goals Against Average (10th in nation) on the young season.

UMass-Dartmouth Corsairs (2-6-1) 1
Bowdoin Polar Bears (4-2-1) 5
It was over when...: The Corsairs got on the bus to head from Waterville to Brunswick for the second day of the Bowdoin/Colby Faceoff Classic. In a rematch of last year's NCAA first round, Bowdoin outshot the Corsairs 52-12. Between the two games, Bowdoin outscored UMD 10-3 and outshot them 108-34.
After a slow start in conference play, the Polar Bears have outscored opponents 19-4 in their first three non-conference games. It's been a season of lineup flux for Bowdoin and today was no different with none of the offensive pairings from previous games used this afternoon. Sophomore Matt Rubinoff (F, '17) scored twice for his first collegiate multi-goal game and ended the day tied with Colin Downey (D/F, '17) for the team lead in goals at four. Steve Messina (F, '14) made 11 saves in the win and Max Fenkell (G, '15) did not dress for the second straight game after coming out of Tuesday's UNE game after the second period.
Thanks to Bowdoin Athletics, we have highlights from today's game (embed below). Yes, that's Bowdoin in the black uniforms at home, thanks to the weird setup of the Bowdoin Faceoff Classic.
Player of the game: Matt Rubinoff (F, '16) Did anyone think that the Oakville, ON native would be tied for the team lead in goals after seven games?

Conn College Camels (0-6-0) 0
Salem State Vikings (4-3-0) 1
It was over when...: Manhattanville transfer Eric Defelice (F, '14) put in a goal at the 2:33 mark of the OT to lift the Vikings past the winless Camels. It's the second OT loss of the year for Conn College, who lost to Middlebury in OT last weekend. Mike Petchonka (G, '14) made 26 saves in the loss as the Camels were outshot 27-21. If we channel Dr. Pangloss for a second, at least this was the first game in which CC didn't give up five goals this season.
Player of the game: Eric Defelice (F, '14) A transfer to Manhattanville beat last place Tufts and a transfer away from Manhattanville beat last place Conn College.

Hamilton Continentals (2-3-0) 3
SUNY Canton 'Roos (1-7-1) 0
It was over when...: Hamilton's two leading scorers, Mike Dimare (F, '14) and Robbie Murden (F, '17), each had goals in the second period to break a 0-0 tie after one. Murden would add his second goal of the night in the third to round out the scoring. The lack of secondary scoring is concerning for the Conts, as DiMare, Murden and Kenny Matheson (F, '16) have 28 points and the rest of the team has 12 combined.
Player of the game: Hamilton freshman: Robbie Murden (F, '17) had his first career multi-goal game and Kent product Charlie Fennell (G, '17) had a sixteen save shutout in his first collegiate start. It was the first road shutout for Hamilton in four seasons.
