NESCAC Quarterfinals in Tweets

We all know the parity in the NESCAC and it showed on Quarterfinal Saturday with three of the four road teams earning victories. Top seeded Trinity was the only home team to win, 2-0 over 8th seed Tufts, despite 41 of 42 stops from Nik Nugnes, and they will host the NESCAC semis and finals next week.

The Bantams will take on seventh seed Williams, who survived a third period come back from Conn College to down the Camels 4-2 and earn the Ephs' seventh trip to the semis in the last nine seasons.

The other semi will pit fifth seed Wesleyan, who took out fourth seed Hamilton 2-1 with a late goal, vs sixth seed Colby, who scored five unanswered goals to eliminate Amherst 5-1.

We used to do these stories more often back in the pithy days of 140 characters, but this is the first time in the era of 280 characters. Enjoy the extra prose!
