It was over when...: Jackson Brewer (F, So.) netted an empty net goal to put the Bantams up 3-1 and seal the game. The Camels got on the board first when Brett Curran (D, Fr.) scored his first collegiate goal in the first period. Trinity tied it in the second on a goal by Elie Vered (F, Fr.) in the 2nd and took the lead early in the third on the first college goal for Connor Coveney (F, So.). Note: the Trinity site lists it as a short-handed goal but the box score disagrees.
Trinity had a slight shots advantage 37-36 and again was significantly penalized (they lead the NESCAC in PIM/G), but it didn't cost them with the Mules going 0-5 on the PP. Both Freshman goalies had good games; Conn. College's Tom Conlin (G, Fr.) had 34 saves on 36 shots. Nathaniel Heilbron (G, Fr.) earned his second NCAA win is as many nights (2-0-0), saving 35 shots and doing a yeoman's job filling in for an injured Benjamin Coulhardt (G, Jr.).
All four goals were scored by underclassmen.
