The Lowdown: Getting back in the saddle
Both teams are coming off tough losses last night: Hamilton having been blown out by fifth ranked Oswego and Potsdam losing in OT to lowly Morrisville. Both teams would like to get back in the saddle and get a victory before heading back in to conference play.
And something's gotta give, with one of the worst defensive teams statistically (Potsdam) in the country vs one of the worst offensive teams statistically (Hamilton) in the country. This is a good game for the Continentals to play after being blanked by the Lakers last night.
Key(s) to the game: Abiding by regulation
Both teams have a propensity to torture themselves by extending games, with each having played 5 OT games this season: Hamilton (1-1-3) and Potsdam (2-2-1). With it being a non-conference game and the last Sunday before classes start-not to mention NHL hockey and the AFC championship game waiting in the wings-neither the Bears nor Continentals want this thing to go into an extra frame.
Players to watch
Potsdam - Mike Arnold (F, Jr.) The Bears leading scorer (13-4-17) didn't put the puck in the net last night and will be hungry to get back on the stat sheet.
Hamilton - Anthony Ruberto (F, Sr.) Can the team leader in points (6-5-11) score in his last non-conference game as a Continental?
In honor of both teams trying to get back on track after last night, here's a 1977 live version of Aerosmith's "Back in the Saddle"
