The Lowdown: Fight...for your right...to playyyyyy-off
Trinity enters the game after a split last week with Williams and Middlebury in fourth place, the last seed that gets a home game in the first round of the NESCAC playoffs. Colby resuscitated their season last weekend, with a victory overy Hamilton and a come from behind tie with Amherst to put the Mules just two points out of the eighth and final  playoff spot.

The Bantams and Mules skated to a 2-2 tie the last time they met back in Waterville on January 11th. Trinity actually needed a third period goal from Michael Flynn (D, So.) to pull even after Colby's Nick Lanza (F, Jr.) scored his second goal of the game to put Colby up 2-1.

Today is Trinity's Hockey Helpers game. The Bantams will wear camouflage jerseys, sell merchandise and run raffles, with all proceeds supporting The Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit that raises money for wounded members of the United States military.   TWWP is a very worthy charity, but don't take our word for it. Charity Navigator, an independent, non-profit organization that evaluates American charities, gives TWWP a four out of four stars for "Accountability and Transparency" and three out of four stars overall. You can find Charity Navigator's full profile of TWWP here. You can donate to Trinity's TWWP fundraiser  here.

Key(s) to the game: Special Opps
Neither team is what you would call efficient on the man advantage, but on the rare occasion the Mules have gotten their special teams going, they have done well. In all four of their victories this season they have put in a power play goal. They will probably need a special effort in order to pull off this upset, though it won't be easy against a Bantam penalty kill that is 12th in the nation. Trinity's stingy penalty kill is important to their success, with the Bantams only allowing multiple power play goals in three games this year, which ended in two losses and a tie.

Players to watch
Nick Lanza (F, Jr. ) The Mules leader in points and goals (10-11-21) had both goals for Colby last time out against Trinity.

Chris Menard (F, Sr.) Not only is the Chris half of Trinity's Twinstars the Bantams leading scorer (10-2-12), he is a Colby killer. In five career games against the Mules, Chris has 10 points (6-4-10).

In honor of today's Hockey Helpers game, we present an inspirational intro video for the Wounded Warrior Project.
