Happy Veterans Day, everyone (and Remembrance Day for you Canadians). Remember to thank a veteran that served his/her country so that you could play/coach/watch NESCAC hockey. Last season Trinity and Middlebury both participated in the Hockey Helpers program, which raises money for the Wounded Warrior Project. Hopefully they and others will do so again this year. O

Williams Season Outlook
Williams was the first of the 'Cac to post their roster, and now they are the first to post a season outlook article. Goes over the roster and schedule and includes some quotes from 25th year head coach Bill Kangas (320-221-53 coaching record at Williams), who will likely surpass Bill McCormick's 329 win mark for all-time winningest Ephs coach.  Also includes the tidbit that Kangas will be coaching against his son Brett Kangas, a sophomore defender at Johnson & Wales, when the Ephs travel to Rhode Island to take on the Wildcats on January 11th, four days after Williams plays Trinity at Frozen Fenway.

NESCAC Pick'em
The fan forum on United States College Hockey Online (USCHO) has a fun NESCAC pick'em game, where you can predict the outcomes of the NESCAC games for each week. Points are tallied weekly and at the end of the season a NESCAC Pick'em winner is announced. The scoring system is below, with the designated "Game of the Week" (can be a non-NESCAC game) earning double points.

Scoring
2pts-correct pick
3pts-correct score and win
3pts-correct tie
4pts- correct score and tie
*GOTW- double points of normal game

So far 11 people have filled out their predictions for the first week of NESCAC play. Many games are unanimous, such as Trinity at home over Tufts, while others are more contentious, with Middlebury hosting Bowdoin garnering the biggest split so far. Six people have chosen the Polar Bears, four have taken the Panthers, and one has prognosticated a tie.  You can participate as well.
