After a successful 2012-13 campaign, the Bantams look to compete for their first NESCAC crown since 2008. If they are to get there, their success will most likely come from tough, physical play and strong goal tending. The Bantams return most of their solid defensive crew and add depth with impact recruits. Most importantly, they retain the services of Coulthard, First Team All-NESCAC goalie from last year.

On the other end, there are some questions. The Bantams lost their top line, but retain their top scorer in Brewer and Hawkrigg looks like he is going to develop into an All-Conference player. They also have a strong recruiting class that already includes a proven collegiate goal scorer in McKillop. Losing a lot of their offense comes with the silver lining that the third most penalized team in the 'Cac last season also lost four of its top six penalty minutes accumulators.

Predictions/Projections Trinity is picked to finish either second (USCHO and WordPress Blog) or fifth (D3Hockey.com and our preseason poll). In the D3Hockey.com (D3H) computer projections, the binary crowd likes the Bantams to finish tenth out of 79 schools in the final computer rankings.

Out of Conference Schedule Trinity has an odd setup (along with travel partner Wesleyan) in which they play all of their non-NESCAC games in a row. After playing at Hamilton on the 24th of November, they don't play another league game until they play Williams at Frozen Fenway on January 7th.

The Bantams play three straight OOC games at home against Salve Regina (40th D3H), Wentworth (18th D3H), and Stonehill (75th). They make the short trip down I-95 to Westchester County, NY to play Manahttanville (24th D3H)  on December 7th to closeout play in 2013. They ring in the New Year on the road against Becker (67th D3H) on January 3rd before facing Wetsern New England (54th D3H) back in Hartford on the 4th.

Song for the season In honor of the Bantam's defense/goaltending, we present a live version of the peculiar pairing of Rob Zombie/Lionel Richie for the cover of the Commodores' 1977 "Brick House".
